About

I am open to new challenges and ideas and have worked on variety of projects and commissions since completing my illustration Degree in 2007.

I’ve recently had the pleasure of working with Fuzzi a “vibrant new social enterprise” and shop in Winchester. Previous projects include editorial work for a publication called ‘Viewpoint” paintings for a children’s songwriters web site and packaging for ‘Bits & Bobs’ handmade bath and beauty products.

When I’m not working on commissions I like to set myself projects as a challenge, such as creating a range of button badges and a children’s activity book.

My activity books and badges are currently on sale at the John Hansard Gallery and I have previously exhibited and sold them at the Art House Craft and Zine Fair and Southampton University’s Christmas Arts and Craft Fayre.

Although digital seems to be the most popular medium for many today I still find myself unable to resist the lure of pencil to paper, there’s something very satisfying about creating images in such a ‘hands on’ physical way.

I hope to evoke a bit of nostalgia or to capture an element of fun in my imagery; I try to combine originally observed forms and settings with a more fluid line and imaginative approach.

My work was featured on the Soap Box blog in 2009 and I have online portfolios on Coroflot and Creativepool.
